In der Woche vor dem Web Summit Rio findet eine vorbereitende Immersion in das brasilianische Innovationsökosystem in Florianópolis statt. Sie dient als strukturierte inhaltliche Vorbereitung auf die Teilnahme am Event in Rio de Janeiro.Florianópolis („Floripa“), die Hauptstadt des Bundesstaates Santa Catarina, wurde im September 2024 offiziell zur Start-up-Hauptstadt Brasiliens ernannt und zählt zu den führenden Technologie- und Innovationsstandorten des Landes. Rund 20 % der brasilianischen Innovationsunternehmen, insbesondere im IT-Sektor, sind dort ansässig. Die Stadt gilt als Vorbild für ein dynamisches und gut vernetztes Start-up-Ökosystem und wird häufig als „brasilianisches Silicon Valley“ bezeichnet.Eine zentrale Rolle spielt dabei die Associação Catarinense de Tecnologia (ACATE), die mehrere Hundert innovative Unternehmen vereint und ein stark kooperatives Umfeld fördert. Seit 2023 besteht eine institutionelle Partnerschaft zwischen KölnBusiness und dem Brazil Business Center Cologne mit ACATE, die den bilateralen Austausch und die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Deutschland und Brasilien weiter stärkt.Die Immersion in Florianópolis ermöglicht den Teilnehmenden einen direkten Einblick in die Dynamik des brasilianischen Innovationsmarktes, bevor sie nach Rio de Janeiro zum Web Summit Rio weiterreisen. Hinweise:

In the week preceding Web Summit Rio, a focused preparatory immersion into Brazil’s innovation ecosystem will take place in Florianópolis, serving as a structured introduction ahead of participation in the event in Rio de Janeiro.Florianópolis (“Floripa”), the capital of the state of Santa Catarina, was officially designated Brazil’s Start-up Capital in September 2024 and is one of the country’s leading technology and innovation hubs.
